Hildi Borkowski
The Flowers of Hildi Borkowski
Hildi Borkowski, a lifelong Bergen County resident, began taking photographs as a hobby over thirty years ago. Since then, this hobby has evolved into a passion. Photography has enabled her to experience life from a new perspective, believing that peace can only come from within oneself, she started taking pictures of landscapes and nature. These images brought her peace while comforting and inspiring others. From oceans to mountains and everything in between, Ms. Borkowski's images capture the world's beautiful natural images on film. Her photographs have won recognition from organizations including the NJSFWC. On display, through July 30, 2007 at the Emerson Public Library, are 20 beautiful photographs of spring and summer flowers. Hildi's other interests include gardening, needlework and cooking. AL KUNZ
Emerson resident and photographer
The Emerson Library will be displaying the photography and digital imaging of Al Kunz. Al, an Emerson resident, retiree and volunteer at the Library, has had a long time interest in photography. He started with 35 mm and converted to digital photography about five years ago. Al feels that the creativity that the digital process affords the photographer is limited only by the imagination. That, and the fact that the whole process can be carried out at the photographer’s pace in the home, lends itself to making digital photography and digital imaging ideal for the retired person.
Al will display a varied field of prints ranging from the Battleship New Jersey to a number of striking photos of the water lilies at the Waterford Gardens in Saddle River.
